25 (Toronto) Medical Company Unit Fund

The 25 (Toronto) Medical Company Unit Fund is a registered Canadian charity (#119310381RR001) that operates independently of 25 Field Ambulance.  Its objectives are:

  1. PRESERVE MILITARY TRADITION.
  2. PRESERVE MILITARY MEDICAL HERITAGE BY PROVIDING EDUCATION PROGRAM.
  3. INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE HISTORY OF USEFULNESS OF THE MILITARY MEDICAL TRADITION.
  4. PRESERVE AND MAINTAIN ARTIFACTS, DECORATIONS, BOOKS, AND MEMORABILIA.
  5. PROMOTE, SPONSOR, AND DEVELOP REGIMENTAL MUSEUM AND LIBRARY.
  6. PROMOTE MEMBERS' WELFARE BY FUNDING: RECRUITING, TRAINING AND CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES.
  7. PURCHASE HISTORICAL UNIFORMS, ACCOUTREMENT, TROPHIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS.
  8. RAISE FUNDS THROUGH SUBSCRIPTION, MEMBERSHIP AND DONATIONS.

Cobalt

Painted by Sir Frederick Banting and donated to the unit mess in 1933, it is now in the possession of the 25 (Toronto) Medical Company Unit Fund.
